I somehow feel that it would not have flown, though, that goes for almost everything now in the tv.jw.org era - including the Internet or printing out scriptures for a talk instead of opening the actual Bible, etc., etc., etc.

just got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.
they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

I don't post as often as I should. I asure you, I read and digest a lot that is posted. I strongly feel that this website shows a group of dedicated persons, from atheists and agnostics to even apologists. I mention this because it even seems to me, that this site is more like what Russell would recognize as a modernization of his group of Bible Students, Christian in nature, looking to answer questions that could lead to finding actual "Truth" versus an organized religion. A loose observation of even his wild opinions. Again, just my humble observation. I do though appreciate all of your work, your comments, and your sense of community.
On the topic of this post, though, it breaks my heart. It truly breaks my heart! I wish I could do something, however my own means would never come close to allow it.
I pray, with hope someone hears prayers, that they find the strength and that they can look for whatever happiness they can find, as they see such a terrible "reward" after a life-time of submission to an organization, not to the scriptural Jesus Christ. To me, it is incredibly damming of those who are causing so much heartless disdain and discharge.
I didn't wish to remain silent on this topic.

Atlantis, I know you have taken risks and gone high and beyond by sharing this imformation, documents, and essential internal truths. I am, out of the loop on a lot, and wonder, do you have or have posted the most recent application for regular pioneer, special pioneer, bethelite, gilead school (especially), and other schools or PQR's and traveling work?
I am working on a comparative work. I've seen these docs on here before, but never saved. And now with so much in the way of upside down changes, are the downloaded and printed and just give one? Looking for the most recent. Comparing a timeline which is otherwise called "religious life" with special vows or sacrifices.

Well put. Honestly, if I were to simplify my very researched beliefs, I think, truly, that is exactly what he did.
I also believe that that was what attracted so many people to Russell, that he preached against organized religion. It had a ring of Christian "truth" to so many.
Regardless, we know what happened eventually! After Jesus' death historically the centuries since, and after Russell's demise - with regard to Jehovah's Witnesses.

As a journalist that response is dumbfounding, as a person of faith, I am distraught that a "pastor" could be so callous about the care and protection of the little ones of the flock.

An announcement was made during the noon meal, before the family was dismissed.
Gerrit Lösch read the announcement from Bethel Office informing the family that such a concert would be heald near, or in between, the buildings of the Brooklyn Bethel Complex and that all in the family should be aware of the nature of the complex. In the announcement, or in an off the cuff addendum Lösch mentioned that K.I.S.S. stood for Knights In Satan's Service. I am not sure, don't really remember, if more was explained, or if the announcement explicity said that no member of the family should be caught attending.
An explicit cautionary announcement "discouraging" the family from attending an event was, however, made in regards to a Woodstock anniversary concert close to Wallkill.
